Ever since they gave me the two steroid shots Friday and Saturday, they have been checking my blood sugar four times a day. The shots can cause an increase, so they monitor for several days. So, by today my fingers are starting to feel like pin cushions! I can't imagine what diabetics go through. I think some of my finger tips are going numb from all the poking. At least I should be done with testing by Tuesday morning.
Bill is working again today and won't stop by until after work, so I had a couple of my boyfriends stop by. (Bill's best friends) Ben dropped off a wonderful fruit basket and some movies, and on his way out he passed Bob in the hallway. Bob visited for awhile and brought a bunch of magazines so I can keep up with the latest news. National Enquirer, Star, People, US, etc. Do people really believe some of this stuff? I find it very entertaining, but hardly real.
Stan & Glo made their way back to MI today from the swamp. After landing in Detroit, they drove over to see me before driving back to Freeland. They brought beads from my sister-in-law, Kristie, and my nephews, Mitchell and Sean. The beads are a great decoration for my IV poll that I hopefully won't have to use anytime soon!
