Another nice and quiet day, which is good. Since I ended up in the hospital earlier than expected, we didn't have a chance to take any birthing or newborn classes. Even though I will have a C-section, it is good to know how things are supposed to happen. The nurse found a couple of dvd's to watch, which helped me understand the normal process better. She also found a dvd on preemies and what can happen in the NICU. I watched that one with Bill when he came to the hospital after work. Our babies will most likely spend some time in the NICU, but everyday I can keep them in utero is equal to two to three days in the NICU. So, we want to keep them cooking as long as possible!
The Drs. said it was ok to go for short wheelchair rides once in a while. Only 15 to 20 minutes. So, tonight Bill took me out for my first ride. We went to the atrium on this floor, and then when downstairs to go outside. This is the first time I have been outside since July 23rd! It was dark, but still quite warm and humid. The fresh air was wonderful! We should do this more often, it's way better than the field trips to ultrasound.
