Day 35 - Tuesday, August 26, 2008

I have been checking for the last two days, and there really is nothing on TV now that the Olympics are over.

Started my 2nd round of Betamethasome shots this morning. They are a steroid shot that helps the babies lungs develop. The shots increase your blood sugar, so I also get to have my blood sugar checked for the next several days. (Lots of finger pokes!) At lunch today I ate way too many carbs, and ended up needing six units of insulin. My blood sugar was 212! I didn't feel any different, but they tell me that is pretty high. The nurse said they normally don't do anything until it is over 200. I am feeling better today than yesterday, so I am sure we can make it through the week. The doctor still ordered ultrasounds for Wednesday and Friday.

Bill is working today, so I had a quiet day. Later in the evening I got a surprise visit from my neighbors, Lori and Kelly.

This is a picture that Lori's daughter, Greer, made for me. Super cute!
